Modeling isn’t an unusual route into acting with some of the world’s most famous actresses beginning their career as models.

The late Lauren Bacall for example appeared on the covers of Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue before deciding on becoming an actress.

More recent examples include the likes of Cameron Diaz, Stephanie Seymour, Brooke Shields, Cybill Shepherd, Claudia Schiffer, Carol Alt, Elle MacPherson and former Bond girls Lois Chiles and Olga Kurylenko, who all began their careers as fashion models before breaking into film.

So it was no surprise that Eon Productions head, Michael G. Wilson, sent a jet to Palm Beach to pick up a 6’ 1” blonde supermodel to audition for the next James Bond movie.

ELITE EUROPEAN ARISTOCRACY: JOY COUNTESS DU LAU D’ALLEMANS

13.7.2015 Alan Svejk

Joy-Linkedin Press ReleaseShe is one of the most fascinating, impressive, but also mysterious and secretive figures of the modern European Aristocracy. An internationally recognized top fashion model, who married a descendant of famous Napoleon Bonaparte bloodline, Joy Countess du Lau d’Allemans is truly an inspiration for all modern women worldwide.

She earned all her success by hard work, modesty, always positive personality and helping others. Her unique style and shining charm make her a firm part of the U.S. luxury market, and her deep experience from the global fashion world make her expertise and insights highly valuable for top fashion companies, like Chanel, Rolls Royce and Louis Vuitton.

Entering famous Mensa club for the most intelligent people at 17 years old, Joy clearly declared her many talents since the young age. Since then, she was trained with a series of private tutors who schooled her in the arts, history, philosophy, political science, art, etc. She is also an active violin player, who participated in a number of public recitals.

Due to her impressive height of 6’1″ (183cm) and very slender figure, she was fully qualified for a career of top fashion model, and her life changed completely since she signed with the Ford Modeling Agency. She moved to New York, then Paris, where she met and married the great great grandson of Napoleon Bonaparte. They were married in his castle, Montardy.

Montardy-8Today, she is very active in international commerce, art collecting, investments, real estate, fashion, but she never forgets to support many charitable causes. Her sport activities include yachting, tennis, skiing, horseback riding, and the game of polo.

Joy likes to share with others. “My life’s experiences have been incredible, but have taught me that nothing in this world is as important as being and feeling truly happy with my inner self. To laugh, love and live everyday as if it were my last. Never forget that life is not a game, it’s a gift.”

She is rarely seen in the public. One of few exceptions are polo events, for example in April 2014, when Joy participated in 2014 Miami Beach Polo World Cup in International Polo Club Palm Beach, due to her wide contacts with Mr. Alex Webbe, president of Polo Consultants international business company.

Joy Countess du Lau d’Allemans accepted the offer to be an honorary patroness of NUSHI Fashion Magazine, and promised to share unique insights from her world with our readers.

NUSHI FASHION PASSION

“Let other people play at other things. The King of Games is still the Game of Kings.”

This verse, inscribed on a stone tablet beside a polo ground South of the fabled silk route from China to the West, sums up the ancient history of what is believed to be the oldest organized sport in the world. Polo was truly a game of Kings, for most of its reputed 2,500 years or more of existence.

The start of the high-goal polo season in Palm Beach County, Florida continues to attract top players from around the world, but it has been some time since Prince Charles or the Maharaja of Jaipur swung a mallet on the swift green surfaces of the areas 100 polo fields.  But it never fails to attract interest from celebrities around the world.

This season Palm Beach’s polo community of Wellington will play host to Bill Gates, Bruce Springsteen, Lou Dobbs and New York’s Mayor Michael Bloomberg, but it won’t be for the polo.  The area’s world class equestrian facilities and top international horse show competitors will be the attraction for the VIPs as their daughters ride against contestants of Olympian skill.

The nearby International Polo Club will have its share of world-class athletes and celebrities as well, with every 10-goal player in the world showing up to compete for North America’s highest-rated trophies.

“I’m looking forward to a very competitive season,” said Argentina’s Sebastian Merlos.  A former 10-goaler, Sebastian plays off of an impressive 9-goal handicap and will join brother Agustin Merlos (another former 10-goaler) on the Florida fields this winter.

Tennis star Venus Williams was in the crowd last season along with television’s Burn Notice stars Jeffrey Donahue, Gabrielle Anwar and a host of others.

“Polo has all of the glamour and pageantry of sword duels and the days of the round table when knights jousted for personal honor,” offered Joy Countess du Lau d’Allemans.  The strikingly attractive 6’ 1” blonde will be traveling to Florida for the opening game of the young 2012 season.  “I’m only planning on flying in for the opening game this month,” she said, “then I’m off to Kitzbuhel for the World Cup’s Hahnenkamm Race.”

An accomplished skier, Joy Countess du Lau d’Allemans tries to get on the ski slopes a month or two a year if her busy schedule permits.

The 72nd Hahnenkamm Race will attract the world’s best skiers, and Joy Countess du Lau d’Allemans isn’t expected to be the only royal title in town for the event.  Royal families from England (Prince Charles, Prince William and his wife Kate (the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge), Dutch Queen Beatrix, Prince Constantijn and Princess Laurentien and Prince Mishaal bin Saud of the Saudi Arabian Royal Family are expected to be represented in the throngs that will crowd the slopes, the restaurants and partake in the Tyrolean village’s ample nightlife activities.

Austria’s Marcel Hirscher enters the January 20-22 race sitting atop the current World Cup standings with 525 points.  Norway’s Aksel Lund Svindal dropped to second place after sitting out the recent competition in Zegreb, Croatia.  The United States sits in third place with Ted Ligety holding on to 403 points while Croatia’s Ivica Kostelic has a total of 389 points for fourth place.
